Dedicated to building a stronger, more inclusive Jewish community committed to social justice, April has spent 10 years advocating for Jewish diversity inclusion locally and nationally in a variety of ways, including facilitating LGBT educational trainings as a Keshet facilitator and writing a thesis about the experiences and identities of Jewish young adults of color in American Judaism. Before coming aboard the Union for Reform Judaism, April served as national Director of Resources and Training at InterfaithFamily.
Jonathan J. Stone works the tech scene by day as Director of Enterprise Sales at NewsCred and performs as a beatboxer by night (mouthmatics.com). He began beatboxing in 2001 and made his nationwide TV debut in 2010 as an American Idol Season 9 Finalist. He performs solo, as one-half of the vocal/beatbox duo Bagels 'n Box (bagelsnbox.com), and as collaborator with numerous acts around New York City.
Israeli cellist Elad Kabilio is the founder of MusicTalks (musictalks.com), designed to bring music to wider audiences through engaging and interactive conversation held in intimate settings. At this event, he will present a range of Ladino artists who will perform and speak about their work.
